What is thermoforming?
Thermoforming heats plastic film or sheet and shapes it over a tool, using vacuum or compressed air depending on the process. After cooling, the part is trimmed and finished as required.
Which plastics can you process?
We process PS, HIPS, ABS, ABS/PMMA, PMMA, PETG, APET, PET, PC, PC/ABS, PVC-U, PP, PE-HD and PE-LD, among others. The right choice depends on the part and its requirements. Other materials require trials or special process conditions. Explore materials →
What components does QIN-FORM make?
Examples include housings, trim panels, decorative visible parts, trays and custom component carriers. We manufacture to your requirements, matching shape, material and surface to the application.
Can you manufacture large components?
Yes. Our PANTHER has a forming area of 1,480 × 800 mm and a maximum forming height of 200 mm. These are machine specifications; achievable component dimensions depend on geometry, material and tooling. View our equipment →
Do I need a finished drawing?
No. A sketch, photo or existing sample can be enough for an initial discussion. We discuss the application, assess manufacturability and agree the next development steps. Development & sampling →
Can we review samples before series production?
Yes. Samples let us review shape, surface and execution together. We agree a suitable tooling concept for this. The samples and checks required depend on your project.
Are custom decorations and surfaces possible?
Yes. With insert technology, we form printed films into three-dimensional shapes. Decoration, material and geometry are coordinated together. We assess which finish is feasible for your component.
What do you need to prepare a quote?
